All set for the 10th edition of the Time Use Week in Catalonia

Catalonia International invites eight time policy experts to Barcelona

The Time Use Week (TUW) reaches its tenth edition this year and it will take place from 21 to 23 October in Barcelona and on the 24th and 25th in the rest of Catalonia, with the motto "Advancing towards the right to time for everyone".

The TUW is the most relevant international event for the promotion and debate on time policies and brings together every year researchers, political institutions, social organizations and citizens from all over the world. Although in the beginning the great pioneers in the construction of the right to time were the municipalities, nowadays numerous public and private institutions develop policies and promote measures in this field.

Catalonia International organizes, together with the Time Use Initiative, an International Visitors Program aimed at eight people from international organizations and networks, local governments and universities that work on time policies. The aim is, on the one hand, to position Catalonia as a reference for changes in the use of time, and on the other, to promote these policies at an international level so that they can become global. The group, in addition to participating in TUW events, will have bilateral meetings with public institutions and economic and social agents, and will learn first-hand about successful practices in Catalonia that demonstrate the effectiveness of these policies.

The TUW 2024 is co-organized by the Government of Catalonia, the Barcelona City Council, the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, the Provincial Council of Barcelona and the Time Use Initiative, and has the collaboration of Catalonia International and Time4All.
