Opening of the sixth edition of the seminar on European funds

It will run until February 2026 and there are about 90 registered participants

The sixth edition of the training seminar on European funds started today, organized by Catalonia International and the two municipal organizations that are part of the consortium, the Catalan Association of Municipalities (ACM) and the Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia (FMC), with the collaboration of the Catalan Ministry of European Union and Foreign Action, the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) and the Provincial Council of Barcelona.

The seminar was opened by Laura Foraster i Lloret, Director-General of the consortium; Antoni Montseny, director of International Relations of the Barcelona Provincial Council; Jaume Magre, director of the EAPC; Agustí Fernández de Losada, secretary of European, multilateral and development cooperation affairs at the Catalan Government; Mireia Huerta, head of international relations of the ACM; and Miguel Comino, vice-president of the FMC and mayor of Sant Vicenç dels Horts.

The seminar, which will include two face-to-face sessions, will run until February 2026, with a total duration of 45 hours and almost 90 registered participants. The speakers will be experts from the European Commission and the Catalan Government, university professors and representatives of different local administrations with experience in the management of European funds.

The training program will be complemented by a visit to the EU institutions based in Brussels. Students who obtain the certificate of completion will be able to participate in this visit, the first edition of which took place last June with around thirty participants.
