Mission and Objectives

Catalonia International is a public-private consortium that aims to connect Catalonia with the world and promote the country's image abroad, creating links and relationships of trust with the people and institutions of other countries. Ultimately, Catalonia International addresses international audiences with the aim of establishing a dialogue and positively influencing the image they have of Catalonia. 

In addition, Catalonia International encourages civil society and Catalan entities to become involved and contribute to the main global challenges and debates. It fosters their ability to be major players on the international stage in order to establish durable bridges of dialogue over time, with the aim of listening and being heard. If Catalonia wants to become a major international actor, it is crucial for its institutions and entities to contribute their views on building a fairer, more peaceful, more democratic and more sustainable international society.

Catalonia International's activities include some of the usual practices in international relations, including exchanges of good practices, digital initiativesp, academic debates, visitor programmes and contacts with the press. In addition, Catalonia International works to strengthen the international relations capacities of the citizens, entities and administrations of Catalonia by awarding scholarships, organizing training courses, and encouraging them to be active in the main initiatives of global governance.
