Among the activities that are already in preparation are a trip to Portugal to learn about good practices in social policies linked to the tourist development of cities, a seminar with European chambers of commerce and the 2nd Congress on Vocational Training in Catalonia

After the creation of a working group for the internationalization of Catalonia's municipalities in March 2020, DIPLOCAT launched today a second working group with the 7 business and social entities and the 2 trade unions that are part of the consortium:

During a telematic meeting with representatives of all those organizations and entities, the Secretary General of DIPLOCAT, Laura Foraster, together with senior Project Manager Elisabet Moragas and Press Officer and Project Manager Anna Cuatrecasas, have presented the group's objectives and working methodology. In their two annual meetings,  members will help to design a plan of activities that will be included in the annual work plans of the consortium. A greater involvement is also intended in the training activities organized by DIPLOCAT.

Among the activities that are already in preparation are a trip to Portugal to learn about good practices of trade unions and experts in social policies related to the tourism development of cities and their effects on housing, a seminar to exchange good practices among European chambers of commerce and the 2nd Congress on Vocational Training in Catalonia, to be held in December 2021.

As long as the difficulties of organizing trips and face-to-face events remain, DIPLOCAT will continue to focus on digital events. In this regard, there are proposals to hold debates on mental illnesses and Covid-19, climate migration, and the influence of networks on social movement protests. Today's meeting added new topics, such as decision-making mechanisms and citizen participation, the impact of international relations on human rights, the importance of the accreditation of professional skills for the labor market, and the green economy. There is also a proposal to carry out some activity related to the process of industrial recovery in Catalonia.
