First meeting of DIPLOCAT's Academic and scientific working group
It is formed by the 12 Catalan universities and 4 other entities
After the creation in March 2020 of the Internationalization of Catalonia's municipalities working group, and the creation in September 2021 of the Business, social and trade union working group, DIPLOCAT's third working group met online yesterday for the first time. The group brings together the 15 entities from the academic and scientific world that are part of the consortium, in addition to the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia:
- University of Barcelona (UB)
- Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)
- Technical University of Catalonia (UPC)
- Pompeu Fabra University (UPF)
- Ramon Llull University (URL)
- Open University of Catalonia (UOC)
- International University of Catalonia (UIC)
- University of Lleida (UdL)
- University of Girona (UdG)
- Rovira i Virgili University (URV)
- University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC)
- Abat Oliba CEU University (UAO)
- EADA Business School
- Barcelona School of Economics (BSE)
- Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI)
- Interuniversity Council of Catalonia (CIC)
The aim of these sectoral working groups is to offer a space that facilitates the involvement of DIPLOCAT's member entities in the preparation of the work plan and the activities of the consortium, as well as promoting collaboration among them. In the case of this specific working group, it is particularly interesting because it allows all universities to participate and make proposals, beyond the two designated to attend the Plenary meetings. At yesterday's meeting, DIPLOCAT's scholarship programme and various training activities carried out by the consortium were discussed, among other topics.
The working groups meet twice a year, prior to the meetings of the Executive Committee and the Plenary of the consortium. The other two working groups also met this week to discuss the issues that will be debated in the Plenary session scheduled for next June.
