DIPLOCAT has programmed a series of videos as part of this year's #BooksAndRoses campaign

A new #BooksAndRoses campaign is already underway to promote the internationalization of Catalonia's Day of Books and Roses on 23 April. One of the main novelties this year is a series of short videos with book recommendations in English, starring members of DIPLOCAT's Advisory Council.

The recommended books are of very diverse subjects and authors, from Mercè Rodoreda and Àngel Guimerà to Jaume Cabré and Najat El Hachmi, including Jesús Moncada and Jordi Cussà. In most cases, they are works of Catalan literature translated into other languages.

The videos will appear from now until 23 April with the following dates and protagonists:

• Week of 18 March: Josep-Antoni Garí and Roderic Guigó
• Week of 25 March: Matthew Tree and Isona Passola
• Week of  1 April: Tomàs Marquès-Bonet and Bodil Valero.
• Week of 9 April: Andreu Claret and Anna Schlegel
• Week of 15 April: Xavier O'Callaghan and Nick Cull
