Scholarships to study abroad increase from 12 to 20

The call for applications for next year begins on Monday and will remain open until 11 April
The Catalonia International Scholarship Programme will grow significantly next year. Today, the 42nd call for international studies abroad and the 8th call for European studies at the College of Europe were officially announced. The 10 scholarships for master's degrees in international relations remain the same, but the 2 that were available for studying at the Natolin Campus (Poland) of the College of Europe are being expanded to 10 thanks to 8 new posts at its Bruges Campus (Belgium). The amount of each scholarship is €29,000 gross.
The Director-General of Catalonia International, Laura Foraster i Lloret, explained that since its creation in 1983, 342 Catalan students have benefited from these scholarships. Foraster recalled that this Scholarship Programme is part of Catalonia International's commitment to fostering the training and knowledge of young Catalans in the field of international relations and the European Union, and that it is also a commitment to the future for the country, since some of these young people end up occupying prominent positions in organizations around the world.
The topics chosen by the twelve students who are abroad this year with Catalonia International's scholarships are international development; European politics and society; human rights and humanitarian action; international journalism; European security, politics and governance; American law; gender; and European interdisciplinary studies. The destination countries are the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Italy, Sweden, Belgium and the USA.
