Gilles Favier from France will inaugurate this year's edition of Miravisions at the end of September

Online magazine La Mira and Catalonia International have agreed to collaborate to give Miravisions an international accent for the first time. Miravisions is a photojournalism encounter that is organized annually in Juneda (Les Garrigues) and which has become an annual meeting point for the sector in Catalonia.

This year, thanks to this new collaboration, the conference promoted by La Mira will be opened by Gilles Favier, a French photojournalist who has worked for thirty years at the newspaper Libération and one of the founders of Agence Vu. In parallel with his dedication to the daily press, Favier has also developed his personal projects through documentary photography, such as Belfast, a work on the Northern Irish conflict, among others.

Favier will be the protagonist of an open session that will take place on Saturday 27 September at Mas Miravall in Juneda, which will be the starting point of the sixth edition of the conference. The French photojournalist will also participate in a working session with students of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at the University of Lleida.
