Career opportunities at the UN and other international relations organisations

Catalonia International takes part in the 'UN Careers' session organised by UNSA Barcelona

Catalonia International took part yesterday in a session organised by UNSA Barcelona at Pompeu Fabra University to discuss career opportunities at the United Nations and in other organisations in the field of international relations.

The speakers included Laia Carbonell Agustí, Deputy Director-General for Multilateral Affairs and Regional Strategic Affairs at the Catalan Ministry of European Union and Foreign Action; Elisabet Moragas Solanes, Senior Project Manager at Catalonia International; Irene Guirado Muñoz, Spain's Youth Delegate to the UN; Julian Herwig, Head of International Relations at Seat & Volkswagen Spain; and Júlia Prats, former consultant at UNESCO. The latter two are alumni of the Hertie School.

Moragas spoke about the Catalonia International scholarship programme, which enables students to pursue international studies abroad and European studies at the College of Europe. She also explained the Alumni network mentoring project. Through this initiative, younger alumni interested in developing a career in international relations are connected with senior members of the network who already hold positions of responsibility in the Catalan administration, in international organisations and institutions, or in the private sector.
