Seventh edition of the European funding training seminar
The seminar will begin on 7 October and will include a study visit to Brussels to learn about the EU institutions
Following the success of previous editions, Catalonia International and the two municipal associations that are members of the Consortium -the Catalan Association of Municipalities (ACM) and the Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia (FMC)- in collaboration with the Catalan Ministry for European Union and Foreign Action, the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) and the Barcelona Provincial Council, have organised the seventh edition of the seminar on European funding opportunities.
The seminar will combine online sessions with two in-person sessions. It will begin on 7 October and run until February 2027, with a total duration of 44 hours. Speakers will include experts from the European Commission and the Government of Catalonia, university lecturers, and representatives of local administrations with experience in managing European funds.
The training programme is designed to provide an overview of the European funding opportunities available to local authorities, offer a comprehensive understanding of the different European funding programmes and explain the mechanisms for accessing them.
Participants who complete at least 80% of the course and pass the final assessment will receive a certificate of successful completion issued by the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC). They will also be eligible to take part, as the closing activity of the programme, in a study visit to Brussels to gain first-hand insight into various European Union institutions and bodies. Places for the visit will be limited and it will take place at the end of the second quarter of 2027.
